Introducing the Amazing Cast of We Dance

This cast has been with We Dance since the conception of the idea. Some of the pieces in the show are written by the actresses themselves.

Synopsis

We Dance is a theatrical exploration of black womanhood and femininity. What does that even mean? Who does femininity exclude and in doing so leave unseen, unheard. What would you say if you went your whole life saying nothing? What do you do when no one will even acknowledge your existence? Do we scream or cry. It is easy to cry but sometimes it is better to laugh. Sometimes its better to dance.

Meet The Cast

Tishé Fatunbi

Nife

Tishé is a 21-year-old Psychology student at University College Dublin, an Ad Astra Performing scholar and one of the original actresses in We Dance. During her second year at the university, she worked as one of the first Diversity & Inclusions officers on the Dramsoc committee to ensure that the society remained an inclusive and welcoming space for all at the university.

Usher Titus

Kumo

Usher is a 19-year-old English Classics and History student at University College Dublin and one of the original actors in We Dance. She has spent a significant amount of time at the university in UCD Dramsoc where she is currently the design and construction manager on the committee and was previously Diversity and Inclusions Officer alongside a fellow castmember.

Odi Anyanwu

Atasi

Odi Anyanwu is a Dublin-based actor and business owner. She has recently completed a degree in Drama & Film and is currently in London in a performing arts course

For Odi, acting means the world to her so she has now moved to London to follow her dreams as an actor. Odi was accepted into The ISDA where she is now gaining intensive actor training as well as plenty opportunities career-wise.

Siobhán Matshazi

Nanala

Siobhán Matshazi is a Dublin-based actress, writer and musician. Originally from Galway, Siobhán moved up to Dublin to pursue her dream as an artist and meet like-minded people. After her theatre training in Galway, she attended Bow Street Academy to study screen acting. She has since then been in a few different roles and plans to start releasing the music she has been writing.

Erica Tarfa

Reenah

Erica Tarfa is a Dublin-based performer and writer. Originally from Galway, where she also completed theatre training from a young age. Erica has been able to showcase her skills, abilities and love for performing through the drama society in UCD. Writing and performing are a creative outlet for Erica, allowing her to express herself, connect and inspire others in the same way.
